  • How long have you been in business?

    We first opened our doors in 1982 and have been serving the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas ever since.

  • If I want new cabinets, do you recommend a complete kitchen makeover or can I have them installed without affecting the flooring?

    We can do a complete renovation, or retain some existing products (like the floor for example). Our greatest strength is our evaluation and design process which ensures we are offering the right products and services for each client.

  • What makes DKD better than the rest?

    This is a complex question. Kitchens and bathrooms are extremely detailed rooms, and without a professional “in your corner,” it is easy to get lost. Here are a few areas in which we excel:


    1. The designer. Anyone can fill a room with boxes. It takes an expert to create your dream kitchen or bath. Our design team will marry the information gleaned from the Lifestyle Preference Review to the physical space in the room. We like to call it “maxing out the spec book.” Kitchen designing is not just filling wall space, it is creating the perfect room.
    2. Lifestyle Preference Review. We want to design your room for you. Others may design a kitchen to fit your space. We design a kitchen to fit your life. See above for more information.
    3. What we can offer. Product selection is not just about having more finishes than anyone else. While we do have a vast selection, our ability to help you select the right materials is the key. Also, we can supply everything you need to complete your remodeling project. Our team will coordinate the entire job. The only thing you need to do is…ENJOY!
    4. Professional Installation. The job does not end once the selections are made. The most efficient design or perfect door style will not be right unless it is properly installed. We have an awesome team of installers who are knowledgeable, friendly andcourteous.

  • What are your showroom hours?

    Our showroom is open Mon thru Fri 10:00 am – 5:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. We want to be sure that we have the opportunity to discuss your needs thoroughly, without interruptions or distractions. so appointments are suggested.   • Will you re-face or re-door my existing cabinets?

    We can help you with your renovation, whatever that includes. During our initial meeting, we will help to determine how we can best serve you.

  • I find it difficult to make comparisons when shopping. How do I go about shopping for a kitchen?

    To make it easy to compare one dealer to another, don’t get too detail oriented while shopping. Many manufacturers and dealers offer similar looking cabinets. Instead of starting with the details, look more at the company rather than the product. A good working relationship between homeowner and designer is much more important than how many colors are offered. Focus on the relationship with the designer, the services that are offered, the appearance of the showroom, and other intangibles. When this trust is in place, the homeowner and designer can work as partners to produce your dream kitchen or bath.

New Kitchen Cost

  • What is my new kitchen going to cost?

    This is the question we hear most often, and it is the most difficult to answer. We can simplify the answer to some extent. During your first appointment in our showroom as you walk through our “discovery tour,” we can begin to answer that question more accurately for you. Also, it is important to remember that cost and value or two totally different things. We focus on getting you the best value for your investment. As a starting point, read my blog post here.

  • Do you have experience working with financing or home improvement lenders?

    We have worked with several providers over the years, one of which being the Egypt branch of First Northern Bank for financing. We maintain good relationships with many in the community and we believe this helps us to go the extra step in helping our customers!
